end game

L80!

well, at least for the skywall rogue. we attempted naxx right after i motherf*cking dinged baby! and well, after i trained up, did up the last few talents, and got my shiny purple dagger out of the bank. ^_^

hehe. naxx huh. seven of us, not even heroic geared, and our first boss? patchwerk.

we. got. spanked.

roflmao!

after trying that a few times, we lost three guildies due to the lateness of the night and the other four of us attempted heroic utgarde keep. and got spanked again. first boss. lol

still determined to finish something, we did aq20. with four of us. L80. dk, ret pally, mage, and my rogue. two of the guys didn't even know where it was! lol we did pretty well. only the achievement boss and one other boss gave us issues. we ended up letting a L60 holy pally help us out and we took down the last two bosses. we rawk.

then i chatted with a friend for three hours till 6am. got four hours sleep and hit up dnd the next day.

thank the gods for coffee rockstars.

now i'm not sure what to do. level icecrown rogue... start a new char? finish leveling my dk or warrior? keep trying the druid? eh. we'll see i guess.

exploring continues

so icecrown rogue has now explored all of eastern kingdoms and retrieved the lunar coins from that continent as well. just need the old world dungeons coins. eh. not this year i think. managed to get nine coins in northrend as well, one from a dungeon and the other eight from various spots a L73 should and should not go. lol.

didn't realize that sholazar basin was a L76 zone. oops.

other than that, it's been a quiet wow week. hell, a quiet game week period.

and back in again!

so blizz offered more free transfers off of icecrown to some pacific servers finally. :) the queue is so much better now. i transfered my hordies over to wyrmrest accord and left my allies on icecrown. now it's only a five min wait to get in on peak times instead of 45 mins. the new server is rp and i really haven't tried it yet - see something came up...

it's the lunar festival! it's one of my favorite holidays in the game. dunno why but it is. maybe the fireworks or the skill in navigating through horde towns/ally towns with opposite faction rogues... tee hee! both my ally mains have got omen down (third time for icecrown rogue) and both are doing the coin collecting. my icecrown rogue, the explorer, is taking the opportunity to get her exploration achievement.

funny, other than durotar, she was only missing one or two places per zone in kalimdor...

my skywall rogue, thanks to my awesome guild there, will get the northrend dungeon coins. save for the heroic. :( still not L80 yet.

so yah. no L80s yet. I are slacker. hehe.

i have no real goal to get to L80. for me, that's when the game ends... no more levels means no more incentive to play. i know there's dungeons and loot and rep and all that, but without that ding, i end up dropping that toon and start working on another.

hey, we all have different motivations...

so if i don't end up going to jam night tonight, then it's back to the game... we'll see... dungeon running on skywall or eastern kingdom exploration on icecrown? who knows...

bah. i hate waiting

so i haven't been playing. i blame the queues. /cry

Icecrown is so overcrowded!!! :( i'd transfer off but then i wouldn't know anyone. plus the server they're offering is an eastern server. bah. i only have friends on two servers. sadly they both get queues.

i think Icecrown's major problem is that it's the suggested server. log in. asks, pvp or pve? region? if you select pve and usa, it gives you icecrown. welcome to 1200+ queue.

skywall isn't so bad, but my guildies dont' come on till 9pm mst. it's a pacific server so most of the time i miss the prime time queue wait... still, it's 5-10 mins to get on.

what's the deal then? well i'm easily distracted. by the time i get onto icecrown, i've usally gone on to do other things or i've lost interest in playing.

so all you easterners! transfer off to that new eastern server!!! hehe.

uh... hi. -_-;;;
it's been a busy few months!

but look! i'm in northrend!!

okay... both my rogue mains are there... palli (ic) here is still 72. rukh (sky) is 75.
still determined to level palli to 80 first but the queues on that server make me cry. high 700s... 45 min waits. by the time i get on, i'm no longer in the mood to play. /cry

but damn she looks cute in green... rukh's got the full red outfit.

(and no... i really didn't stand outside of eb games for the expansion. really. okay i did.) :P

mishmash

got some play time in this weekend. yay. IC rogue 70 managed to get enough tokens for brew of the month club. think brewfest goes for another week?

IC mage 54 is very close to 55... found the best place for him to quest and level... too bad i have to be at least neutral with timbermaw to get to winterspring. sigh. not even half way in rep. i hate rep grinding. it's the worst.

Skywall (sky) rogue hit 64 and is still cleaning up zangarmarsh. hoping to do UBRS or underbog this week. i have no dnd this thurs and the guild isn't running kara this week so it's looking good for instances.

still haven't done the parade thru stormwind for IC rogue70. heh. one of these days i'll get around to it.

dnd

okay so i'm a huge dnd geek. last night was my weekly dnd night. ^_^ it went awesomely (is that a word?)

i used to play two nights a week with two separate groups but that got to be too stressful. as one group finished a campaign and went on to a new campaign under the new 4e rules, i backed out. having only one game a week has been a huge relief. and i'm still with 3.5e. hah. we discussed moving our game from thursdays to sundays for the winter, as it's kind of hard for me and one guy to go skydiving in the winter, one guy got a new job and will have sundays off, and the last guy is just plain too tired after a long week of working to play on thurs nights. he often falls asleep during our games. :( having thurs off will give me another weeknight to play wow! hehe.

anyways... so there is only four of us, one dm and three players. we have two campaigns going on concurrently - cowboys and hobgoblins. cowboys is sort of dnd deadwood if you will, with steam powered guns and in the middle of a revolution. it's cool. but last night was the hobs side of the game. same world, same time, just in another part. humans and hobgoblins do not know of each other yet, only goblins know of both and haven't said anything to either. green-backed bastards. ROFL

so in the previous session, our hobs found a great goblin city and we were scouting it and trying to wrap our minds around a goblin civilization. previous to this, our hob empire was the end all of all civilization and the green-backs were our slaves. this was alien to us. we have this knife that is not hob or goblin made and we've been charged by the empire to find out who made it (not necessarily the person, but the culture)

i, the ranger, scouted out the only path down to the great aztec looking structures. i came back and reported my findings. our leader, the bard, was napping (literally), so the barbarian and i took it upon ourselves to go and find out more information.

we discovered two platforms with five gobs on each at the bottom of the trail and proceeded to take out the goblins on one platform ninja style. hehe. rahka even grabbed a green-back and tossed him over the platform - he got an arrow in his head before he could make a sound. rahka came down with one goblin unconcious so we could question him... but the other platform started making noises... like calling out to the one we murdered.

so another fight ensued and sadly, one of the bloody green-backs got a blast off his horn before i feathered him. rahka and mahdra then returned to camp with their hostage. we tried to question the goblin but he was nothing but insulting. so we woke our leader and had him do his charismatic stuff on him.

grok got some info out of him and then let rahka kill him. then we did some more scouting and saw the war party below us. we set up a false camp and hid. mahdra up in a tree, grok and rahka down below... we miscounted the war party (poor spot checks) and what we thought was maybe 30-40 goblins turned out to be more than 60! ieeee!

they called out to us to surrender or die, letting us know that they could not let us go back to our people to inform them about this goblin city. well, we're hobgoblins and we don't surrender to inferior beings. grok cast haste on us - our cue to attack. mahdra took aim and killed their druid outright with one arrow. her next three took out one of the druid's guards. then rahka came out of hiding and massacred six of the eight goblins surrounding him.

nine rounds (and 34 arrows later) we had decimated the 60+ goblins. mahdra took significant damage, rahka was still over half, and grok was also in good shape. our fearless leader managed to kill one goblin (awesome for him) and mahdra took out the leaders and many others. rahka, as ususal, performed to his utmost taking out 2/3 of the goblins. hehe. he only raged when the haste ran out at the eighth round.

what can i say? we rock.

now we wait and recover in a very well hidden camp. our npc druid (who did nothing in the fight) is out scouting this time. we know they're looking for us and they're worried now. hah.

out of game - we are three L7 hobgoblins with one npc - our leader cast haste, invis, and one cure spell on rahka during the fight. our npc did nothing. we fought 4 L6 warriors, 1 L5 druid, 2 L7 warriors, and dozens of L2 warriors.

mahdra needs to make a lot more arrows...
